More Than Just Care Ltd are committed to the safety and security of the vulnerable adults that
they provide care and support to. One of the ways that we ensure suitability of safeguarding is
through our commitment to ensuring we employ individuals that are suitably trained and
qualified to carry out their duties. Where staff do not already have training or qualifications, we
support them to enrol on the most appropriate courses to give them knowledge and skills that
they need.
Staff undergo a probationary period of 12 weeks when they are first employed, during which
time they can expect to receive:
- A thorough induction into the Company
- Mandatory training (in line with care certificate and standards set by Skills for
Care) - Shadowing period with experienced members of the team.
Staff receive refresher training as required for essential training. This is done in line with
guidance that is set out by Skills for Care, and training may be undertaken between every 1 – 3
years dependent upon which course it is.
